Creating Together
An Exhibit of Collaborative Art – November 2012
This event will allow every Art League member to combine theircreative skills with other members to produce a single piece of art.
- Any and all mediums may participate!
- Each team (2 members) can enter just one piece.
- Each member can enter with as many teams as they can put together.
A sign up sheet for members who are interested in participating is available at the League gallery or you can email us with your information and we will add it to the sheet for you. Your name; contact information and all of your different skills will be listed to help others to find potential partners for this event.

The Art Of Recovery
The Knox County Art Leauge is partnering with Mental Health and Recovery to present “The Art of Recovery”
The American Art Therapy Association describes art therapy as “the use of the creative process of art making to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being of individuals of all ages. It is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people to resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness and achieve insight.”
Artists reception will be on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 6 pm to 9pm at the Knox County Art League Gallery located at 3 North Maint Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio.

Creative Foundations
The Knox County Art league presents: The Artists from Our Town Studios – June 2012
The mission of Creative Foundations is to provide individuals with Independence, Choice, Opportunity, and Security. We strive to intensify our commitment to pro-social values such as kindness, helpfulness, personal responsibility, equality, and respect for others. These are qualities we believe are essential to leading humane and productive lives in society.

American As Apple Pie
July 2012 Exhibit
Art League members and non members may submit pieces on the theme of “As American As Apple Pie”. Use your imagination as to what visually represents the “American” ideal.
All mediums of art will be accepted.
- Submit as many pieces you want, any size.
- All pieces must be for sale.
- Art League commission on all sales – 20%
- Fees: Non-members entry fee – $10.00 | No fee for Art League members
- The league may reject any pieces that they feel are not properly on theme.
- Deadline for drop off June 28th, 29th and 30th at the KCAL gallery
