Featured Artists – June 2011

This month the Knox County Arts League gallery features three artists from the area; Terry Gardner, Jeff Kusner and Eric Mize. Stop by on “First Friday”, June 3rd, 2011 to meet and say hello during the opening reception from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
Terry Gardner: Terry has been an avid photography enthusiast for many years. Beginning in the film era he developed film and printed photos in the darkroom. He has taken classes in film and print darkroom processing, composition, color theory and lighting. Landscapes, wildlife, and macro are his preferred subjects. With the digital era came a whole new learning curve. Terry has kept current by attending and graduating from Columbus State with a degree in multi-media production. He recently attended a three day Photoshop conference and is employed as a digital photo processor at the Mount Vernon News.
Jeff Kusner: Though Jeff’s professional career has revolved around technology he has always had a passion for photography, especially for the outdoors and the little surprises nature presents if you take the time to look for them. In 2008 Jeff set out to transform his long time passion into a vocation where he hopes to depict and share the glory of God through photography, without Him there wouldn’t be much to photograph.~ www.koozzz.com.
Eric Mize: A bit over four decades into his journey, Eric is just discovering what it means to be a visual artist. What started as an attempt to make something constructive of an ordinary mid-life crisis has developed into something more. Returning to graphite, oil, and canvas, he is finding the joy of creating and sharing images he hopes will enrich, edify, and celebrate.
